Following the visit to the arcade and Marco’s cafe, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the beach huts on the eastern end of the promenade which have been installed as part of the Vale of Glamorgan Council's £6m regeneration project in Barry. The project has also seen the restoration of the promenade and shelter, and the installation of new public art and entertainment spaces, a climbing wall and water feature. After that, the couple head to Cardiff where they visited Shire Hall Care Home, three months after speaking to staff and residents via video link and calling out the numbers for their weekly bingo session. It was such a lovely to see the couple in Wales! What a wonderful surprise!

#NEW the #DuchessOfCambridge has endorsed the national launch of Tiny Happy People, a BBC Education initiative providing a range of free digital resources to support parents in developing children's language from pregnancy to the age of four (0-4). The Duchess has been involved with #TinyHappyPeople for a number of months, having visited the Tiny Happy People team last November to take part in development sessions and to learn more about the production process. Last week Kate met families involved in the creation and piloting of #TinyHappyPeople — and spoke with them about the ways in which they have used the resources, and how they have seen their children’s language and communication develop as a result. The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will collaborate with the BBC as they continue to develop and roll out #TinyHappyPeople.
